After School Cooking and Garden Clubs

After School Cooking and Garden Clubs

Our after school cooking and garden clubs, hosted at participating schools, community centers, and libraries, are designed for middle and high school students to build foundational cooking and gardening skills, critical reflection on food systems concepts, and a sense of agency by teaching them how to grow and transform ingredients into nourishing meals and snacks.

Clubs meet weekly for 8 weeks exploring cooking and gardening as empowering life skills connected to land, culture, and community. Our curriculum encourages youth to explore ingredients from seed to plate, fostering pride, accessibility, and responsibility. Winter sessions are focused entirely on culinary skills while spring, summer, and fall sessions have a primary emphasis on gardening.
